Biography
Jaime Almandoz, MD, MBA, FTOS is Medical Director of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center’s Weight Wellness Program and an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine. Dr. Almandoz is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine and board certified in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and internal medicine training at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin. Dr. Almandoz completed Internal Medicine Residency and Endocrinology Fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic, and a fellowship in Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases at UT Southwestern. Dr. Almandoz’s clinical and research interests include interdisciplinary programs for weight management, post-bariatric weight regain and disparities in obesity treatment.
