Biography
Dr. Ayoola completed medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he was class co-president for the duration of his attendance. He completed his general surgery residency at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he received the IA Bigger award – the highest award bestowed to any surgical resident at his program. This is a testament to his integrity, leadership, teaching, and clinical ability. He continued at Virginia Commonwealth University where he attained additional Fellowship Training in Bariatric Surgery and Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Ayoola practices at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Flower Mound, Medical City Frisco, and Baylor Trophy Club. He is the Medical Director of Weight Loss Specialists of North Texas and the Bariatric Surgery program at Texas Health in Flower Mound. He serves on multiple steering committees at Medical City Frisco. Dr. Ayoola is a speaker for various weight-loss pharmaceutical companies – educating physicians on the safe and efficacious use of these medications. Dr. Ayoola also proctors and offers case observations for physicians interested in using the Da Vinci robotic platform for precise and safe robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery.Dr. Ayoola is an active member of the Texas Association of Bariatric Surgeons and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric surgery, where he serves on various committees. Dr. Ayoola is board certified in General Surgery with Fellowship Training in Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery.
