Biography

Kelly Broadwater is a psychologist and certified eating disorders specialist with extensive experience in bariatrics. Her clinical practice includes conducting pre-operative psychological evaluations, providing pre-and post-operative individual counseling, facilitating group therapy for bariatric surgery patients, and supervising other bariatric mental health professionals. She is passionate about developing aftercare programming and is an expert on post-operative addiction and eating disorders, frequently presenting on these topics. She has been published in the professional journal Addictive Behaviors and written for the Obesity Action Coalition blog and Your Weight Matters magazine. She co-authored a newly released book, BariEDucated: An Integrated Health Guide for Dietitians and Behavioral Health Specialists Caring for Bariatric Surgery Patients.
