Biography
Mindy Hinkel has been a registered nurse for over 20 years, working with post-operative bariatric surgical patient for over 15 of those years. She has been the Bariatric Coordinator and MBSCR for Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital for the past 11 years and wouldn’t trade her job for the world. She enjoys the patient education and care management aspect of her role, getting to know the patients while on their weight-loss journeys. She has been a Medical-Surgical certified nurse since 2008 and recently achieved her Certified Bariatric Nurse (CBN) certification in 2023.
