Whittney Thoman is a seasoned healthcare professional with expertise in program management, clinical operations, and strategic planning. She holds a Master of Science in Exercise Science from Marshall University and a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Psychology from West Virginia Wesleyan College.Currently serving as a Project Consultant in the Department of Cancer Survivorship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Whittney excels in expanding survivorship services across the organization. She plays a key role in establishing and maintaining evidence-based clinical survivorship programs while collaborating with clinical leadership to address operational challenges and foster continuous improvement.In her previous role as Program Manager for Integrative Health Services in the Division of Cancer Prevention and Population Sciences at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Whittney led the development and implementation of the Integrative Health Initiative, focusing on healthy lifestyle services within the Cancer Prevention Center. Her achievements include the successful design and implementation of clinical and research programs for prevention and survivorship patients, addressing physical activity, weight management, and behavioral change.Dedicated to her professional growth, Whittney holds multiple certifications, including the Weatherhead Executive Education: MD Anderson Cancer Center Leadership Institute Emotional Intelligence Certificate, Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP®), Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer (ACSM-CET), and Exercise is Medicine (EIM-Level III) from the American College of Sports Medicine. She is also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), CPR/AED Healthcare Provider (BLS) from the American Heart Association, and serves as a National Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach.
