Description
Although Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery is the most effective treatment for Class III obesity, outcomes may vary and often the Integrated Health professional must help patients before and afterwards to optimize outcomes. This ASMBS course has been designed to critically exam the Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery challenges that both patients and professionals face throughout the continuity of care. The main focus of this course will center on adherence and the difficulties that individuals face from a clinical, nutritional, pharmacological, psychological, financial, and social perspective. The information presented will give a relevant and up to date viewpoint, as well as pertinent, applicable evidence-based material with the goal of improving clinical practice and, in turn, patient outcomes.
Learning Objectives
