Description
The Certified Bariatric Nurse Review Course is designed for licensed Registered Nurses (RN) who have been involved in the nursing care of patients with obesity, for a minimum of two years, and are preparing to take the Certification Exam. The course is designed and intended for Registered Nurses caring for metabolic and bariatric surgery patients. Other Integrated Health members may attend the course but will not be able to take the certification exam.
Learning Objectives
- Participants will be able to identify signs and symptoms of complications following metabolic and bariatric surgery.
- Participants will be able to apply evidence-based recommendations when educating patients about diet and nutritional supplements following metabolic and bariatric surgery.
- Participants will be able to discuss pharmacological interventions for the treatment of obesity.
