Description
Obesity care represents a growing need around the world, and the complexity of the disease requires a comprehensive multidisciplinary collaborative approach. This session will help participants understand the current landscape from a medical and surgical perspective and highlight some current limitations to appropriate treatment. The session will highlight several practice models and how these can impact/improve appropriate comprehensive care of the patient with obesity.

- Understand the current landscape of healthcare access to the treatment of obesity.
- Incorporate the medical treatment of obesity into their practice.
- Understand the value of comprehensive obesity treatment for sustained long-term outcomes with respect to reduction of obesity-related health conditions, and improvements in quality of life for patients.
