Description
A panel discussion of metabolic and bariatric surgery care in the context of mental health, access and social impact, medical complexity, and integration of endoscopic procedures in children and adolescents with severe obesity.
Learning Objectives
The audience will understand psychological and social issues and opportunities for children with obesity seeking surgical evaluation and care. The audience will appreciate the role of MBS in patients with predisposing genetic conditions and those with obesity who are under consideration for transplant care. The audience will also understand the developing diagnostic and therapeutic roles of endoscopy in children and adolescents with severe obesity.
