Biography

I am a Bariatric Surgeon in Private practice in San Diego California. I graduated from medical school at the University of Aberdeen, in Scotland in 1989. After becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, I completed my residency and fellowship in California (Stanford and UCSF) before joining Scripps Clinic in 2000. I have served as head of general surgery, chief of surgery and medical director for bariatric surgery at Scripps. I hope to be known as the guy who puts his heart and soul into his patients, is a child of the 80s (music) and loves to stay fit. A pre requisite to working on my team is a comprehensive knowledge of ‘the three amigos’ and ‘the life of Brian’.
