Biography
Dr. Stefanova completed her general surgery residency at Weill Cornell Medical Center. Recognizing the growing importance of metabolic and bariatric surgery in addressing the global health challenge of people with obesity, she pursued a fellowship in bariatric surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she honed surgical skills and gained exposure to a diverse array of patient cases.Driven by a desire to contribute to the scientific and clinical advancements in the field, Dr. Stefanova actively engages in research projects focusing on surgical outcomes. She is dedicated to staying in tune with the latest developments, attending conferences, and participating in educational activities to ensure that she will provide the highest standard of care to patients.
